The 'Park & Ride' service for this event will run from Teal Park, off Whisby Road - close to the Whisby Roundabout ('Windmill Farm') on the A 46 Lincoln by-pass. (Postcode LN6 3XX). Map HERE (although please be aware the road is quite new and may not appear on some navigation systems.)

This service will run from 10.00 am through the day, every 10 - 15 minutes. The last departure back to the Park & Ride will be at 5.05 pm. The 5.00 pm 'City Tour' bus will also continue to Teal Park (arriving approx 6 pm) after the tour.

Some of the cars from the Museum collection are intended to be on the road and will be offering rides. The cars we intend to be on the road will be listed here nearer the time.

Getting to Lincoln

Feeder service from Newark Northgate Station

With thanks to Marshalls of Sutton on Trent, there will be a free connecting service from Newark Northgate Station (bus stop close to station exit) leaving at 10.45 am - this is intended to connect with

9.03 am Kings Cross to Leeds train due at Newark 10.26
9.40 am Leeds to Kings Cross train due at Newark 10.34
Marshalls 'Fosse Way Flyer' bus from Nottingham due at Newark 10.35

Discretion will be applied if one train is running slightly late, but connection can not be guaranteed if one train is extremely late. There is a train scheduled from Newark Northgate to Lincoln at 11.40

Return bus from Lincolnshire Road Transport Museum will depart at 4.00 pm (we have allowed additional running time due to current roadworks in Newark) intended to connect with the 4.50 bus to Nottingham, 5.20 train to Kings Cross and 5.25 train to Leeds.

Visitors may of course make their own arrangements to travel in one direction.

Train times are supplied to the best information available, but please check with train operator / national rail enquiries.

All 'bus services' and car rides are free but we would strongly encourage visitors to purchase a programme which helps to cover the event's operating costs as well as helping to restore and maintain the vehicles in use.

These events could not continue to run without the financial support of our visitors to whom we are grateful. All funds raised will go towards the running of our open days and upkeep of the Museum and vehicles.

Bringing a Vehicle?

Visiting historic / classic / interesting vehicles are welcome (the event is not a "rally" as such, so there are no rally plaques or prizes) - cars, motorcycles and small commercials will be parked on a site next to the Museum, large commercial vehicles / buses and coaches will be on display at the Lindum Group site on Station Road, North Hykeham. (post code LN6 3QX, map HERE) -

There is no formal entry process for cars / motorcycles / small commercials, but please contact us in advance. For buses / coaches / large commercials, please contact us for an entry form.

We will be running connecting buses between the Lindum site and the Museum through the day.

If you are bringing a bus / coach and are able to offer travel to the event, either on a free or commercial / excursion basis, please get in touch and we will add details.

Stalls

We will have a number of visiitng stalls selling mainly a range of transport related items including books, photographs, models and a range of items including badges and ticket machines.

We still have space for more stall-holders. A form can be downloaded (opens as PDF file) here - alternatively, please contact us for a copy by post. (PLEASE NOTE - we do not require food / drink sellers.)

Parking
We would respectfully ask visitors to use either local bus services or one of our bus services from either Lincoln City Centre or the Teal Park 'park & ride' to get to the Museum. We would ask visitors not to obstruct the streets near to the Museum with parked cars, as this makes it difficult for us to operate bus services, can be dangerous for pedestrians, and may threaten the future of our events.

Limited car parking facilities will be provided at the Museum for blue badge (disabled driver) holders only.

If you require any further information, please contact us.

Staying for the Weekend?

Visit Lincoln has more about what our City and County have to offer and an accommodation finder.

PLEASE NOTE - We will not be able respond to e-mails or social media on the day of the event - if you have an urgent enquiry on the day please telephone.

All funds raised will go towards the running of our open days and upkeep of the Museum and vehicles.

We are most grateful to Lindum Group, Siemens at Teal Park, all at the Hillcroft Business Park and many of our neighbours for use of their premises for the event.
