We would like to thank everyone who came to and took part in our 'end of season' event on Sunday 7 November, making this the biggest, best attended, and most successful November event to date, with somewhere in the region of 1,000 visitors.

After two very wet events in 2008 and 2009, visitors enjoyed a fine autumn day, and the chance to travel on a number of cars and buses from the Museum, as well as a variety of guest buses and coaches - a total of 35 buses / coaches, from 9 different decades ran on service - again the highest number to date.

Over 3,000 passenger journeys were made from the Museum 'bus terminus', with 128 bus departures over the day - during 'peak hours' there were 21 - 22 bus departures per hour, and over 600 passenger departures in the busiest hour.

Among the visiting buses was a Bristol MW coach from the Stagecoach heritage fleet, and in the care of the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum, making a 300 mile journey to be with us for the weekend. A surprise for the weekend was the operation of under-restoration (but mechanically complete) Northampton 'utility' Daimler 129, offering a preview of what we hope will be a finished project by this time next year.
