Lincolnshire Heritage Award 2010
The Society is proud to have won the 'Inspiration Award' for Best Special Project in the Lincolnshire Renaissance Heritage Awards 2010 organised by Renaissance East Midlands, in respect of the Peart - Pilkington Building project.
from the Renaissance East Midlands web site -
The development of a purpose-built new building at the Road Transport Museum, doubling the size of the museum and creating much more space for volunteers to work on the restoration of vintage vehicles. The whole impressive process, from fundraising, to seeing through the capital build in a very tight timescale on time and on budget was managed by volunteers.
