The Museum will be open from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on 2010 Bank Holiday Mondays: Easter Monday 5 April, May Day 3 May, Spring Bank Holiday 31 May and Summer Bank Holiday 30 August.
from Easter to August - please check nearer the time for confirmation. The Museum is not open on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Years Day.
Bus- The nearest bus stop is near the 'Swanholme' Public House on Doddington Road a few minutes walk from the Museum - this is served by Stagecoach Lincolnshire bus service 44, Lincoln - Boultham Moor - Doddington Road - Birchwood. This service runs every 15 minutes on Mon - Sat daytimes, and hourly evenings and all day Sundays. Click Here for a service 44 timetable (opens as a pdf file)

Train - Hykeham Railway station, a few minutes walk away from the Museum, is served by East Midlands Trains services between Lincoln and Newark / Nottingham. For times, contact National Rail Enquiries (or by phone on 08457 48 49 50.)
Alternatively, you can plan a journey to the Museum by bus / train from within the East Midlands Region, or plan a walking / cycling route via Traveline, or plan a journey by either public transport or car (from wherever you are in the UK) to the Museum via Transport Direct
The museum has its own car park, although at special events, special parking arrangements may apply, so please see the web page about that event. There is a cycle stand close to the entrance door.
The car park has marked spaces for disabled drivers, and the Museum, including both toilets, are accessible to wheelchair users.
Group and School Visits
Group and school visits are welcome by arrangement throughout the year - please contact us to discuss your requirements. We are pleased to offer a complimentary advance visit for teachers to plan teaching materials and carry out a risk assessment.
