After much consideration and discussion, we have very reluctantly decided not to organise any further Transport Festival events, but we are looking towards smaller events at the Museum instead for the 2022 season.
Concerns have been raised regarding the wisdom of expecting large numbers of people to cross Whisby Road safely and regularly all day, as traffic has become rather heavy and there are those drivers (not entrants!) who are very impatient as well as those who do not respect the speed limit. Not a safe mix at all.
We realise this will come as a big disappointment to very many, but sincerely hope you will totally understand why. Our last event was superb, and this is how we would like the event and the members who made it possible remembered. Our thanks are also extended to all our neighbours and local businesses for their generous support over the years, and not least, all the folk who made this possible. Many visitors and vehicle owners travelled considerable distances over the years to help the Society and be with us, and we are immensely grateful to all for the enthusiasm shown at these events.

Transport Festival at the Museum - Sunday 1 November 2020 - CANCELLED
Our traditional Transport Festival events take place on Easter Sunday and the first Sunday in November each year.
These long established events allow visitors a chance to see some of the vehicles - including those awaiting and under restoration - which are not normally on public display. The Museum hosts our own refreshments stand, as well as several visiting enthusiasts' sales stalls. A variety of visiting vehicles - from motor cycles through cars and small commercial vehicles to large commercials and buses and coaches - visits for the day. Please get in touchif you would like to bring a classic / vintage vehicle or are interested in having a stall at the event. (please note we do not require food / drink sellers.)
Also, many of our cars and buses take to the road for the day and offer a chance to see, hear - and of course travel on - yesterday's transport.
The 'bus services' for this event have grown in recent years - many visiting buses and coaches from around the country join with our own 'fleet' to provide free services for our visitors. The Easter event usually sees around 20-25 buses 'in service' and November usually has over 30 buses, and offers a rare chance to see our buses out and about after dark.
These services include frequent services to / from Lincoln City Centre and a local park and ride service (as the event is too big for our own site!) - more information nearer the time.
